Pascal Baudry (USA / France / Chine)
Pascal Baudry is Founder of WDHB Consulting Group, based in Berkeley, California. Since 1988, WDHB has helped over 6,000 European executives from 28 different countries examine and redesign their management practices and/or work on their strategy during more than 300 "Learning Expeditions" and "Strategic Expeditions®" to the United States, Canada, China, Japan & Europe. Prior to founding WDHB, Dr. Baudry worked as a psychoanalyst in private practice in France, then he served as Director of Training & Development for Renault's salaried and executive personnel worldwide and held various management positions at American Motors, first as Head of Strategic HR planning in Detroit, then as Secretary General for Finance, Personnel, Labor Relations, IT, and Purchasing at AMC's ultra-modern Canadian plant in Bramalea, near Toronto, a US$500M project.
He has been a Professor and a Member of the Academic Council
at the MBA program of Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris. He is also a former Professor and Program Director at the CRC Center for Management Research (now a part of HEC Management) in Jouy-en-Josas, France, where he developed programs focused on the United States. He has taught or led seminars at a number of France's most prestigious institutions of higher education (ENA, Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Centrale de Paris, HEC), as well as at various universities worldwide, and he currently works closely with INSEAD.
He is the author of "Français et Americains, L'autre rive" (Village Mondial - Pearson Ed., Paris, Third Edition, 2007) also available in free access on www.pbaudry.com, with a total readership of more than 100,000. The book has been published in English in 2005, under the title “French and Americans, The Other Shore” (Les Frenchies, Berkeley). In 2004, along with Luc Nisset, he co-authored a comic strip entitled " Les Frenchies ".
Initially trained in Engineering as well as in the Humanities, he also holds an MBA diploma and a Ph.D. in Psychology. A French-born naturalized U.S. citizen, he lived in the United States for about 20 years, and now share is time between the U.S., France and Asia. Specialized in blindfold simultaneous chess, he achieved Master standing with the US Chess Federation in 1988.
